Anyone and everyone can get hurt, even on the Internet. And especially in person

Wonderful Poem, for high platelet count Person.( Sarcasm)

Amazing Poem, our body becomes immune towards the external cits once we get exposed.

Thanks for sharing and keep writing 💫

Just highlighting this part

“The first cut is the deepest,

Baby you know.”

You can’t hurt me anymore,

I’ve seen it over and over and under and sideways and inverted before.

I’m no longer in pain.

I’m numb on adrenaline.

The cuts continue, like always.

I choose to take it sometimes.

My veins clot quickly.

Great quote from Linkin Park, from one of my favorite songs of theirs. Bleeding is not always visible.

The blood clots quickly… a mutation greatly needed for survival in trifling existence. Love this piece bro 💯🫶

Damn, you stuck the landing with the blood clot image. No one can dish out the emo pain line HVR, but in the best way.

Hah emo pain. Love it. Thank you!

Great poem, we can all relate, we all experience those cuts, again and again. Love the way you showed your resilience.

I appreciate so much how bravely you share your experience of trauma and how it can echo for years. You’re such an inspiration when it comes to therapy & creativity, awareness, and healing, my friend.

And wow! realizing this came from a writing prompt makes me want to journal with it now, too. Thank you for sharing.

Wow. Thank you so much. I try. There are prompts each week. I can tag you if you’re interested.

Sorry it is.

If you are callous and clotty

Then scant blood comes out

You r more like a sponge

A living piece of tissue

Perhaps a vegetable

At the bottom of the ocean

Salty, bloodless, alive

You get it. It doesn’t make sense, but here we are. Thank you.

It’s good to have you here sharing.

I read them all—more than once.

Another well done piece 😘

This one worries me. I understand it, though. I have my own “pain inducing” rituals.

HVR - James's avatar

It’s not that.

It’s metaphorical, really.

I hope your rituals get better.

The whole thing. But that last line. Oof. Felt. 🫂

Painful post! Nice poem. I guess this really reflects that Hemingway quote about how writers bleed on a page...I know it's not always easy. I hope all is generally well.

Most of the time. Thank you for reading.
